I visited this facility

Rosehaven Manor was in the middle of making several improvements and upgrades. They had a fitness area, a library, and a calendar of activities. It's strictly independent living. They lease space to a homecare company, but they don't require you to take it. They had a cafeteria and a meal plan, but you're not required to do that. All of their apartments had appliances included. Each person is expected to be independent, but they have a program where they check on you. You put a tag on your door and someone comes by, you answer the door, and then they flip your tag.

My brother and sister-in-law have moved into Rosehaven Manor. My brother and sister-in-law have a two-bedroom apartment. It's very attractive and very nice. The grounds are beautiful. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. There are all kinds of activities; however, you can live there and not participate in anything if you want.

My brother-in-law has been at Landings of Genesee Valley for a year and a half now. I like the ambiance. It's not old, and it's painted in light colors, so it's not dark. They serve three meals a day.

I visited this facility

I went and thought it was OK. It was a lot more tame, there wasn't a lot going on. It seemed to be nice enough, but it was very quiet. They showed me a model room, so it was not a really good depiction of what you'll be getting. It had a sterile environment and small dining areas that were sectioned off more, so it's more private. They had a la carte options, if you do not like what they offer for that day. They had various areas, nooks and crannies that you can hang out in. It was clean and OK.

I've been very pleased with the Landings. I have no complaints at all. The care and food are good, and my relative is quite happy there. The room is very nice, handicap accessible, and the bathroom is very well done. Cleaning and laundry is scheduled twice a week, and everything so far is very satisfactory. It has an in-house physician and RN staff.

I visited this facility

We saw the assisted living and memory care unit of the Landings of Genesee Valley. The rooms we saw were good, most were single rooms, and they also have double rooms with two people to a room. The rooms come complete with shelves, and there's a lot of space. They have dining room and game rooms. They have group games like Bingo, cards, and exercises. They have tours to various places.

The rooms were spacious, light, airy, very clean, and just what one person needs. The staff was very polite and helpful. They had bingo, social hour, and were very interactive with the seniors. They had a library, a big TV room, and a puzzle room.
